Re: ISO testing 201606

nepomukbackup and nepomukcleaner "have no executable's". I did a quick search and there were no file for them in the */bin folders.
The DVD was my fault. I tried to play it before going through the welcome screen. Once libdvdcss was installed it played as expected.

Re: ISO testing 201606

Hi Schoelje:
I finished testing the SolydK 201606. It worked well with just a few exceptions which are noted in the spreadsheet.

Re: Libreoffice Quickstart

Yes that
This apparently only affects is what I have in my solydx main edition with LibreOffice 4.x also. But in the solydkee with LibreOffice5 there is no option to set quickstart.

Re: Libreoffice Quickstart

I can confirm that the checkbox to "Load LibreOffice during system start-up." is missing in version 5.1.2.2+.
However it is there in LibreOffice 5.0.2.2 for Windows.
I posted a question on Ask LibreOffice, so we will see if anything comes of that.

Re: USB Creator 2.0

That was an awfully short holiday Schoelje.

I tried out the new usb-creator and was able to boot a live session in Xubuntu and SolydK.
Manjaro-fluxbox however erred. The error message is in the other text file attached.
I have a 32 gb pen drive here so I can give the large one's a try tomorrow.

Re: USB Creator 2.0

I tried the usd-creator, before your update, and it was partialy successful. I tried to put 3 iso on a 4 gb usb stick, manjaro-fluxbox, solydk 64, and xubuntu 15.10 in that order. No errors that I saw during creatiion of the usb. I was able to boot a live session of solydk but not of the other 2. Th...

Re: Menus all gone! Installed solydx-adjustments on solydk

I can confirm that updatemanager is installing solydx-system-adjustments in a solydk system. I followed Raven's suggestion in http://forums.solydxk.nl/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=5925#p57131 . My menu's and icon's do not seem to be affected, but I had not customized anything. The only change I can see is t...

Re: Testers needed: new Live Installer

Installed SolydX from the nightly in a dual boot with Windows 10. the installation was smooth as silk, grub on sda, uefi boot partition was identified and mounted automatically. Set /dev/sda8 as / & /dev/sda9 as /home, encrypted.Everything was and working. Initially the Windows partition was not lis...

Re: Breakages and News tracking Debian Testing

I don't know if this applies to anyone here but me, but FWIW. On this machine I run Windows and 3 Linux distros, Linux Mint 17.2 Mate Desktop, SolydK tracking testing, and Debian Gnome Tracking Sid. This is on a gpt/efi machine. Yesterday i did dist-upgrades, with SolydK being last. I then switched ...

Re: Breakages and News tracking Debian Testing

Just tried to d-u solydkee (plasma5) this morning and there is a serious bug in kwin-x11. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=797519. When I pinned kwin-x11 via apt-listbugs then apt wanted to remove the window manager packages. jim@solydk ~ $ sudo apt dist-upgrade Reading package list...

Re: KDE5

g2sws: I can't take any credit, except for stubbornness. When the DE refused to load I kept hitting ctl-alt-del to restart & once it did load but kwin crashed immediately. In the crash box is an option to restart the application. I did that several times until it stabilized, sort of. I could open ap...

Re: KDE5

Finally got a functional kde5 desktop back. I am having a similar experience with Window Decorations. It doesn't affect the functions in that window at all, but when I leave the window I get the crash message. It crashes if I try to return to system settings or if I just close the window altogether....
