Re: Problems after UP

Additionally, the output of apt policy clementine sudo apt-get -s install clementine would show the current state of clementine and also any packages that would need to be installed to get clementine working .... assuming that clementine is not already installed :) Note that the second command produ...

Re: link to version list?

synaptic shows all, installed or not in a gui. -H That is not correct. If it isn't in /etc/apt/sources.list then it can't be reported on. What do you think Synaptic does when you refresh it? When one runs apt-get update a database of all packages available in the sources referenced in one's sources...

Re: link to version list?

Using something like

Code: Select all

dpkg -l
should get you well started, especially if you pipe the output to a text file.

There will be a period of time between Jessie being frozen and being promoted to Stable. UP will happen until Jessie becomes the new Stable.

Re: Solidx me funciona

Traducido ...

Re: udev_event

I was going to upload a Kate text file of the inxi output, but I had a warning 'extension not allowed.' Thanks. Copy and paste the text to the text input box, then surround it with code tags:
text goes here
This makes it easier for all to read and there's no worries about trying to ge...

if the command line given above to start firefox works (despite the warnings and errors spammed in the terminal) use it.
As ZZ said, if the above command works (you can safely ignore the Glib errors), then you have a working work-around solution.

Re: Mobile broadband control

I don't know about anything client-side, but I wonder if your service provide might have something available in your account profile.

My ISP has something like this, they call it the data usage gauge. It shows total bandwidth used as well as a daily consumption in a bar chart.

I think you are asking if the BO edition is actually being used and, if so, by how many individuals. I know a few people have posted questions and comments on the forum about BO. The best indicator I can think of would be the download count. Something else that might be an indicator would be the num...

Using an Intel Mobile GM965/GL960 series chip. Also: Solyd K <3 (Bit of a scattertwit atm) I can't believe I missed this ... I also have a laptop (of recent vintage) with integrated Intel video. I don't install ANY video chip drivers. My first thought would be to attempt to discover what you just i...
