Kudos to Schoelje

Not sure how you managed it Schoelje but the SolydX ( and presumably SolydK) implementation of Firefox seems to be the least resource intensive I have encountered. Even vanilla Debian XFCE , BunsenLabs ( very nice distro), and Solus 1.1 ( newcomer - very nice and at least part Irish to boot) Iceweasel / Firefox seemed to send my fan into overdrive ( Pentium dual core with 2Gb RAM). Not so with SolydX ( so far).

Well Done

Thanks for the compliment but I'm not doing anything special. I don't know how other distributions do it but I just package the source from Mozilla and nothing more. Anything specific to SolydXK is packaged separately (add-ons, graphics, configuration).
