the most interesting part IMO is the comment of the security experts which basicly means that this issue basicly a kind of backdoor for "them" to exploit. what's your opinion on this issue, guys?

It seems that at least Google had a fix rather quickly. Problem is that all the proprietary branded forks might never be patched and the user is unable to do anything about it.

If that poc malicious app had been open source it would not have gone unnoticed.

As we all know, if you don't control your devices they control you. So either use a phone with free software only or expect the thing to be an espionage tool. Which it can be anyway as long as you carry it around with you. My take on it is to use a free android, free wlan where ever possible and no sim card (no phone services). If you think that you lose too much comfort this way at least free your android an use only fdroid store.
